Expedition Africa at the Brevard Zoo is just the ticket. Expedition Africa, located in the Brevard Zoo, is home to over 50 species of African animals and features a variety of unique attractions. You can get up close with a rhino during their Rhino encounter, or take a relaxing trip down the Nyami Nyami river on a kayak. The kayak tour, which is the only one of it’s kind in the nation, travels around a 2,000-foot-long river course and allows you to experience the free-roaming animals up close. The Lemur Island is especially interesting, with the Lemurs coming right up to the shore. The Lemurs roam free on the island and are fed by boat, so they are attracted to the kayaks.
